The craft behind all four is the same, and our pitch deck services cover every one. What changes is who reads the document and what they are deciding when they do.
Growth equity and later. They read it without you in the room, then argue about it on Monday.
Strategy, attribution, portfolio construction. Yours arrives in a queue of decks that all promise the same thing.
Underwriting, comparables, the exit. Every number is checked against their own model.
Positioning and normalised financials, written for a strategic and a sponsor at once.
Pick a client and walk through the deck they took to market. These are the files investors opened, at full size.
Every deck on this page was written, sized and designed by the same desk you would be sitting with. Yours would be too.
Request a callStrategy, story, research, design, always in that order. Our pitch deck consulting services put one owner on each layer, and you meet all four. Three weeks end to end.
What is being sold, to whom, on what terms. Decided from the counterparty's side first: what would make a committee say yes, and whether this transaction has it.
Your first contact, and the one who decides whether we take the mandate at all. Previously N26, BMW Startup Garage and Deloitte.
The argument the counterparty repeats internally when you are not in the room. Written as prose and agreed before anything is designed.
Leads the equity story. Previously Barclays, Apax Partners and Euronext.
Sizing bottom up, a competitive map naming the real alternatives, and macro context with a source behind every number, because the committee will check.
Structured finance leader with Santander and Sberbank pedigree. Makes complex capital flows simple, shaping stories that get deals across the line.
Typography, charts and pacing built for a fifteen-minute meeting and for the PDF that gets forwarded afterwards. Design last, because design cannot fix an argument.
Award-winning designer, in-house. Every deck is drawn by him, never briefed out and never templated.
A generated deck reads as though nobody in particular wrote it. That is the whole problem, because the meeting is granted to a person with a view.
01Somewhere in Michoacán, a grower has four hundred hectares of avocado trees.
02Every one of them is picked by hand, from a ladder, by someone who has to climb it.
03Ripeness cannot be measured from the ground. It is a judgement made by a thumb.
04At that scale the judgement has to be made eleven million times a season.
05So a soft gripper learns the same judgement, and makes it without tiring.
06The fruit reaches the packhouse unbruised, and the loss rate stops being a cost of doing business.
07And in a room like this, someone decides whether any of that is worth funding.
You followed all of that, and nobody explained any of it. That is what a deck has to do, and it is the only thing we are really selling.
Our consultants run the research, on paid databases we license, and it is covered by the engagement. Every figure carries its source, and anything we cannot stand up twice is cut.
What the desk pulls from
Built from two licensed databases reconciled against each other, then narrowed by your own numbers. Where the two disagree the deck carries the lower figure and names which one it came from. Each layer is sourced on its own, so a reader can reject one and keep the rest.
Built from pricing we can evidence: signed contracts where they exist, list prices where they do not, marked either way. Two axes every buyer decides on, whatever the sector. Doing nothing is plotted, because it is the alternative most decks leave off and the one that wins most often.
| Round | Median raised | Median pre-money | In the set |
|---|---|---|---|
| Seed | $3.1M | $12.0M | 34 |
| Series A | $11.4M | $46.0M | 21 |
| Series B | $28.0M | $132.0M | 9 |
Built from a licensed transaction database, cut to rounds that actually closed in your sector and geography inside the last eighteen months. The count sits beside each median so a reader can see where the set is thin, and the ask on your slide is set against it.
Built from the published series either side of the thing that changed, whether that is a rule, a price crossing a threshold or a platform shift. The timing claim then rests on a dated event a reader can look up, with the series showing what it did.
Three examples, one per sector, because a deck read by engineers cannot be set like a deck read on a phone. Type, palette, grid, charts, components and slide furniture, decided once and then held across every page.
Deep tech, Series B. Read by engineers before it reaches the partner. Grotesque at two weights, a ruled ledger, every figure carrying its tolerance and its source. Consumer, Series A. Read on a phone in ninety seconds. Warm ground, one hot accent, type set huge, a single figure per page doing the arguing. Energy infrastructure, project finance. Read alongside a model. Monospace throughout, dense modules, units on everything, no rounding.

A deck is what an investor reads. These are the mandates that put it in front of the right ones, and the desk that runs a transaction instead of a raise.
What companies ask before they hand over a deck.
It depends on how much of the work is thinking and how much is drawing. A deck where the positioning, equity story and market research are already settled costs a fraction of one where they are not, because the slides are the last step of a longer job. We scope it against the round you are raising and the reader you are raising from, and quote a fixed fee before anything starts, so there is no hourly meter. If a template and an afternoon would get you there, we will say so on the first call.
You request a call. We spend about twenty minutes getting to know each other, the round you are raising, the timing and who has to say yes. If there is a deck already you can share it after that call, so we read it knowing what it has to do. Then we send a proposal with the scope, a fixed fee and the three week timeline. Nothing is chargeable before you accept it.
Positioning, the equity story, the market research and the design, in that order, with one owner on each. That is the difference between pitch deck consulting services and a design job: we decide what the document has to argue before anyone opens a drawing tool, and we can defend every figure in it. If you only need the drawing, we will say so and quote for that instead.
A design agency changes the slides. spectup changes the argument and then the slides: positioning, equity story and market research come first, and the design is built to carry them. The people doing it have run rounds, so the deck is built for the meeting it has to survive.
An equity story is the argument an investor repeats to their partners when you are not in the room, and it is what an investor deck is built to carry: why this market, why this team, why now, and what the money buys. A deck without one can look excellent and still fail, because the reader has nothing to carry into the investment committee.
Market sizing built bottom up from real customers and prices, a competitive map naming the alternatives a buyer genuinely considers including doing nothing, macro context with a source behind each number, and go-to-market input on the channel economics the round is meant to fund.
An editable source file in the tool you work in, a PDF built for forwarding, and the research appendix. You own all of it.
Three weeks end to end, and the proposal states it before anything starts. Roughly three days on strategy, four on the story, five on research and seven on design. Design is last and longest because it can only carry an argument that already exists, so the weeks before it are what make it quick.
Yes. spectup is based in Munich and raises from investors in Europe, North America, the Middle East and Asia Pacific. A European company raising from US funds is the most common shape of engagement, and the deck is built for the market the capital is coming from.
Sometimes, and we will say so on the first call. If the positioning holds up, design alone is honest work. If it does not, a better-looking deck is only harder to argue with.
It is a capital advisory firm. Alongside deck work it runs full raises as a startup fundraising consultant and acts as private placement agent.
Twenty minutes on the round, the reader and the document. No deck needed to start.
